The Rowdyruff Boys are a trio of villains created by Mojo Jojo as a foil to the Powerpuff Girls with the mixture of "snips and snails, and a puppy dog tail", with an addition of glowing toilet water as his Chemical X replacement during a stay in Townsville Jail. He thought that addition would have the same potency as Chemical X does (or the toilet water was contaminated with Chemical X). The are the male counterparts of the Powerpuff Girls. The Rowdyruff Boys first appeared in their self-titled episode, The Rowdyruff Boys, episode 12, season 1 of the series and were destroyed in the same episode, But eventually, they were revived by Him in the episode, The Boys are Back in Town. They wear black pants and sneakers and each wears a sweatshirt with a black stripe in the middle; the rest of the shirt is a single color. Like the Powerpuff Girls, they too have large eyes and heads, stubby arms and legs, and although they are able to hear, smell, touch and hold, they have no neck, ears, fingers, or toes. They are somehow an extreme version of stereotypical adolescent boys (although they are 5) and have personalities opposite to theier Powerpuff counterparts (with the partial exception of Buttercup and Butch since they both enjoy violence).
Brick, Blossom's equivalent is the abrasive, short-tempered leader of the group who possesses little of Blossom's tactical logic. He once shared Blossom's triangular part and bangs, but after his reincarnation, he no longer has bangs and now has an unseen spiky mullet He is mean (both physically and verbally) toward his brothers, mainly Boomer much more so than Butch. He wears a red baseball cap compared to Blossom's bow and possesses little of her overall intellect, despite the concept of him beign the best of the trio although he is not good at spelling (he thinks "dumb" is spelled "dum"). In his first appearance he was much nicer to his brothers than he is currently and is less overbearing, bossy, and vain than he is now. Brick is forever
yelling at his brothers and is the coolest out them as well, He also decides what they will do and has the final say on it as well. His element is a puppy dog tail and his signature color is red.
BoomerEditBoomer, Bubbles's equivalent, is the loud-mouthed dimwit of the trio as opposed of Bubbles' naive sweetness. He is often picked on by his brothers due to being extremell naive to an extent, for his stupidity). Bubbles stated in The Boys are Back in Town that she thinks that Boomer is cute. His hair parts are in a curved fashion like Bubbles; it goes a bit longer on each side and has no pigtails. After his resurrection, his hair is much longer and spikier on each end (a wings haircut). One difference between him and Bubbles is that he isn't easily disgusted, whereas Bubbles would be extremely easily disgusted by most of the stuff in which Boomer would almost always enjoy. His signature color is dark blue. As revealed in The Boys are Back in Town, his special power is his ability creating a lightning baseball bat. In Bubble Boy, it is also revealedthat Boomer is the best spitter of the three. Brick and Butch never hesitated to realize that Boomer is important to the group despite the fact that they refused to believe that Boomer is actually their brother. Boomer is
forever included in their criminal and violence acts. His brothers even show concern when they think he goes missing when they break into the Powerpuff Girls' house. Despite being a villian, Boomer (like Bubbles) is shown to be the softest of the group. Another revelation in The Boys are Back in Town, shown that he is seen to be somewhat easily distracted (in this case by a passing fly, which he stopped to play with). Boomer's element is snips. Like Brick has with Blossom and Butch with Buttercup, Boomer has a related power to Bubbles.
Butch, Buttercup's equivalent, is the most extremely toughest of the trio, and is also a hyper-aggressive
borderline psychotic, exceeding Buttercup in both bloodlust and rage. While
all three boys share a love for wreaking havoc, violence, and crime, Butch seems to enjoy them the most. Whenever he gets particularly excited to an extreme, he has a tendency to twitch, shake, or act wild, usually when Brick announces a game to play or during a fight. He shares Buttercup's small triangular part and had a small cowlick on top of his head in place of Buttercup's flip. After he was reincarnated, all of his hair spikes upwards. One difference between him and Buttercup is that he has no conscience whatsoever, where as she would occasionally apologize. His signature color
is dark green. His special power is that he can generate an energy force field that absorbs energy blasts. Butch's element is snails. He goes crazy when someone announces a fight.
